What's New for the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The largest Jeep model has become a segment favorite over the span of nearly three decades, and it continues to change and improve. With the new year upon us, even more updates are coming. The 2019 Grand Cherokee keeps the majority of its features and looks, but adds a range of new features for your convenience.

  • Blind-Spot Monitoring and Rear-Cross Path Detection are now standard with every trim level.
  • A new trim level, the Grand Cherokee Limited X, offers a unique appearance package both inside and out.
  • New 20-inch wheels are now standard on Overland and Summit trim levels.
  • A new version of Uconnect offers pinch-and-zoom functionality through an available 8.4-inch touchscreen display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are compatible with this system.

Aside from the updates, the 2019 Grand Cherokee retains all of the classic features that made it popular in the first place. A standard 3.6-liter V6 engine makes up to 295 horsepower, while an available 5.7-liter HEMI V8 makes 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. The Trackhawk and Trailhawk trims offer even more power. If you're looking to head off road near Warwick or Newton, choose one of the available four-wheel drive systems for extra capability.
